Party of One

Here are some ideas for making an individual contribution to World Food Day.

  • Host a potluck dinner for family and friends.
    a donation with every dish.
  • Brown-bag your lunch each weekday or forgo your usual coffee/muffin breakfast.
what you would have spent dining out.
  • Hold a bake sale, raffle or 50/50 draw at your school, club or workplace.
    the proceeds to CFTC.
  • Buy a basket of seasonal fruit and set it out on your desk or in your workplace reception area.
from those who pass by and partake!

And remember – you can always pledge to an existing

Hunger is the world’s
Nº1 health risk.

It kills more people every year than AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis combined.

One in seven people in the world
will go to bed hungry tonight.

One out of four children in developing
countries are underweight.

There are more
hungry people in the world

than the combined population of Canada,
the USA and the European Union.
