Community fundraising activities, sometimes called
third party events, are held by an individual, group or organization
in support of Canadian Feed The Children. Why not consider getting your workplace, school,
friends and family involved - the possibilities are endless! You will help bring about a very real and important result - helping to
reduce the impact of poverty on children.
Below are just a few of the inventive ways
people are having fun while supporting children: |

Haircare for Humanity
An extremely successful event took place Oct 18 at Saco salon in downtown Montreal. Dozens of people poured into the salon for free haircuts, blow dries, massages and manicures. They were all happy to wait for their services at the bar filled with delicious food, wine, juice and specialty teas. The buzz was in the air as the DJ played some classic tunes, a photographer was snapping shots of many of the attendees and a TV station came to shoot the event to feature on their evening show. Hair care for Humanity raised almost $2400 in a one day to help children affected by poverty. Everyone had a fantastic time and was happy to donate to the cause through a raffle and donation box. Light Blue Shade™ is proud to have helped Canadian Feed The Children™ yesterday and looks forward to doing future events together. See YouTube video of the event . Our thanks to all event participants and sponsors:
