Fighting AIDS and the odds in Uganda

Even those who are not infected are nevertheless dramatically affected by the disease, including the orphans and vulnerable children who are left behind to care for themselves and their siblings. Back by popular demand – our Inspiration series offers our facebook fans the opportunity to submit their favourite quotations in response to CFTC photos and word captions. "Kindness" was inspired by Alice Barthole, founder of House of Hope Orphanage in Haiti. Alice received the Tikun Olam Humanitarian Award from Ve'ahavta at the Starry Nights Gala in Toronto on December 4th. In her soft-spoken but passionate acceptance speech, she said: "If you want to do something for someone else, do it now."
