Giving this gift of good health demonstrates your concern and compassion for those affected by HIV/AIDS worldwide, as well as providing tangible, immediate support to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS. Fighting AIDS and the odds in Uganda

In honour of World AIDS Day on December 1, we featured a story of UCOBAC – our Uganda-based partner, which provides home-based care to the badly-affected rural community of Bugiri. Even those who are not infected are nevertheless dramatically affected by the disease, including the orphans and vulnerable children who are left behind to care for themselves and their siblings. Read more about how UCOBAC is turning the tide in Bugiri with their innovative, compassionate and entirely volunteer-driven model of care.

Back by popular demand – our Inspiration series offers our facebook fans the opportunity to submit their favourite quotations in response to CFTC photos and word captions. "Kindness" was inspired by Alice Barthole, founder of House of Hope Orphanage in Haiti. Alice received the Tikun Olam Humanitarian Award from Ve'ahavta at the Starry Nights Gala in Toronto on December 4th. In her soft-spoken but passionate acceptance speech, she said: "If you want to do something for someone else, do it now." Words to galvanize and inspire compassion and kindness from someone who's the very embodiment of those qualities. Still time to submit your favourite quotation about kindness on our facebook page.
