At-risk girls in Bolivia Alexandra* left her small town in Bolivia at age 15 and ended up locked in a room, selling her body to survive in La Paz. Her gruelling ordeal - a sadly too-common story for the 800,000 at risk children and adolescents of Bolivia - has a happy ending, thanks to the unique work of Little Flower.

Donor Spotlight
We are grateful for the generosity of the following donors this month, who have stepped up to the plate to help reduce the impact of poverty on children.

Thank you to Ian and Joy Winterborn, long-time supporters of Canadian Feed The Children who have travelled to many of the projects to see firsthand the difference their support makes.
We are so grateful for your continued support!

Our sincere appreciation to R. V. Anderson Associates Ltd., who have generously funded relief efforts in Haiti and also support income generation projects for women in Ghana.

Giving through your workplace has a huge impact on the world – just ask the folks that give through the O.P.G. Employees and Pensioners Fund! Thank you to all of you who give so generously through their employers!

Special thanks for the “egg”-ceptional support from the staff at LawPRO who contributed more than $5,000 in chickens, coops, poultry feed and training for 50 women in Ethiopia.

Thank you to these and our other generous supporters!

Boosting Nutrition in Haiti

What are you doing in September?
Want to join us in Bolivia?

We’re in the early stage of planning an exclusive trip for 15 CFTC supporters to tour Bolivia with Canadian Feed The Children. We’ll visit the main projects funded by CFTC donors in La Paz, El Alto, Santa Cruz and Cochabamba. The 10-day trip is tentatively scheduled to fly out of Toronto to La Paz on Sept 17, 2011.

Intrigued? We’d love a show of hands among those who might be interested in travelling with us – no obligation, just for early planning purposes.
Please contact Lisa to express your initial interest and learn more: ldoucette@CanadianFeedTheChildren.ca or call 1-800-387-1221 ext. 227.
