Working Women Unite!
They say a woman's work is never done, yet for many women in Africa it barely has a chance to begin. That's because women are often excluded from owning land and getting credit – activities upon which poverty-busting income generation endeavours depend. Read about how women-led self-help groups are changing this reality for communities across Africa by creating an empowering and capacity-building model of economic development. Read more.

Atelier 850 in Montreal gets kids cooking with esteem-building and educational food and nutrition activities during their summer camp programs, funded by CFTC. Check out the fun they had in our latest photo gallery.

Donor Spotlight

Thank you to The Sprott Foundation for their generous support of the Cultural Enrichment program at the Kisikohk School in Saskatchewan. The Sprott Foundation has been supporting CFTC's Canadian Nutrition Program for the past three years and has pledged their ongoing support for the next three. We are honoured and excited to be working with them again.

Our thanks to the United Steelworkers who have chosen CFTC to receive the proceeds from their 2011 Annual Charity Golf Tournament. Their generous support will help feed thousands of children through CFTC's Canadian Nutrition Program.

Much appreciation to one of our newest supporters, the O'Brien/Jackson Family Foundation. Their donation is being put to work in Gelan Gura, Ethiopia to provide access to clean water with a new well and taps throughout the community.

Visit Bolivia with us from the comfort of your laptop!
