Endowment Funds

Creating an endowment fund in your name, your family’s name or in memory of a loved one is a powerful way to help Canadian Feed The Children in the fight against child poverty.

Benefits

Leave a permanent legacy – Your fund will make a real difference to children and communities affected by poverty, leaving a permanent legacy for you, your family or anyone you wish to honour. Involve future generations – Connect future generations of your family to Canadian Feed The Children’s work. Defer taxes – An endowment fund helps your estate avoid certain taxes such as capital gains tax

How it works

1 Money or other financial assets are donated to Canadian Feed The Children, which are in turn committed to a long-term investment policy. 2 An appropriate portion of the annual earnings generated each year are used to support our programs. 3 With income generated into perpetuity, a wonderful legacy in your name or in the name of a loved one will be created.

We strongly recommend you consult your own lawyer or other professional advisor about the applicability to your situation.
