Sponsor a child in Uganda

Uganda was the first country in which CFTC introduced our child sponsorship program in 1992. Our sponsorship program is delivered in partnership with Huyslink Community Initiative (HUYSLINCI) and Uganda Community-Based Association for Child Welfare (UCOBAC).

The child sponsorship program in Uganda focuses on orphans and vulnerable children, providing them with:

access to education through classroom and school construction projects, school uniforms, textbooks, school supplies, and classroom furniture

school breakfast and lunch programs, which are important incentives to improve attendance and retention in school

hygiene sessions which educate children, parents, guardians and community members about proper sanitation for disease prevention

healthcare, especially vital for HIV/AIDS-affected families, malaria prevention, malnutrition monitoring and support including high-protein food supplements and vitamins
