Our Community Partners
Our Partner – Regional Advisory Information and Network Systems (RAINS)
RAINS works with the local community and development partners in the Northern Region of Ghana, Tamale, to improve the quality of life of women, youth and other vulnerable groups through Grassroots Institutional Capacity Building, the promotion of human rights and sustainable use and management of resources in a culturally sensitive manner.
Our Programs with RAINS
We work with RAINS to improve the livelihoods of people living in rural communities. We have rehabilitated Sang Primary School and supplied school furniture and materials to Kpatchelo Primary School. We have supported the development of environmental clubs at these schools, which has increased the awareness of environmental issues among the children as they work to plant trees in the community and take care of their community garden.
Our Partner – Sustainable Integrated Development Services Centre (SIDSEC)
Located in the Upper West Region of Ghana, Wa, SIDSEC strives to build a strong relationship between local and international organizations in a manner that creates the necessary synergy for experience-sharing and learning in project design, planning and implementation. They encourage and support children to bring their innate potentials to bear on opportunities within their environment for their own self-actualization.
Our Programs with SIDSEC
In the Upper West Region of Ghana we work to procure and distribute food for the school feeding program. We train teachers and headmasters on important classroom management techniques leading to an improved learning experience for the students. We also supply seeds and fertilizers to farmers to help improve food security for farming households.
Our Partner – TradeAID Integrated
TradeAID works to build the capacities of indigenous entrepreneurs, creating opportunities and challenging systems that work against the disadvantaged. TradeAID seeks to help the productive poor to create and manage viable ventures for sustained poverty reduction and wealth creation.
Our Programs with TradeAID Integrated
In the Upper East Region of Ghana we work to create sustainable rural livelihoods, helping to strengthen off-farm alternative livelihood activities and support farming activities beyond subsistence levels. We have constructed craft centres for basket weavers, successfully creating greater diversification of income sources for women engaged in income generating activities.
