Our Community Partners

We have strong and effective partnerships with local organizations that share our goals, ethics and unwavering commitment to children. Here is a list of our current Haitian community partners and a snapshot of some of the work we do together.

Our Partner – House of Hope (HOH)

The mission of the House of Hope is to promote the integration of orphaned, abandoned or children whom parents can’t take care of in Gressier and in Haiti at large, by creating for them an environment which will ensure for them a better future.

Our Programs with House of Hope (HOH)
We work with House of Hope to improve the nutrition of children by providing three rations of healthy food daily. We distribute school supplies and uniforms for the children attending the orphanage school, and provide training for teachers in an effort to create a safe space for children to learn.

Our Partner – International Child Care – Grace Children Hospital

Our partner International Child Care works to provide caring service, by sharing and promoting health and wholeness for those in need, especially children.

Our Programs with International Child Care – Grace Children Hospital
We improve the nutritional status of inpatients at Grace Children’s hospital by providing nutrient-rich foods for children, such as meat, dairy and vegetables. We offer educational sessions for parents and tutors of children on hygiene, nutrition, prevention and treatment of diarrhea and malaria. Through our workshops we strive to improve the health of children and their families living in the area.

Our Partner – Organisation de la Mission Evangelique Salem (OMES)

OMES has two locations, in Cameau and Thor, and works to promote a better quality of life for children living in vulnerable communities in Haiti.

Our Programs with Organisation de la Mission Evangelique Salem (OMES)
In Cameau we strive to reduce the impact of malnutrition on children by providing vitamin A, micronutrient supplements and enriched milk. We deliver plantain plants, watermelon seeds and fertilizers through a food security program that improves agricultural practices and harvest yields. In Thor we provide medical care to children, mothers and pregnant women through a local clinic. We purchase and distribute medicines for the clinic, vaccinate children under 12 and distribute AK-1000 and enriched milk. Our efforts provide access to health services and improve the nutritional status of children and their families in the community.

Our Partner – Service Oecumenique d’Entraide (SOE)

SOE improves the nutritional status of children and pregnant women, increases awareness of hygienic practices at the household level, increases knowledge on STDs/HIV and AIDS and improves water and sanitation in targeted communities.

Our Programs with Service Oecumenique d’Entraide (SOE)
Together with SOE we distribute nutritional supplements to malnourished children, helping to improve their overall health. We facilitate information sessions on STDs, HIV and AIDS, construct latrines to targeted households, and train members of the community on water treatment and maintenance of cisterns, increasing access to potable water.
